the journey
A timeline of where I started and where I've gotten to
1.
After completing my Bachelor of Architectural Studies degree at UKZN, I went on to be a creative designer for a local clothing brand. I learned marketing skills and used graphic design as a vehicle to connect with a niche audience, using visual storytelling to help de-stigmatise mental health.
2.
I secured an architectural design role at a Durban-based studio. I was fortunate to work on medium-large scale projects, across all work stages. The experience was across various typologies including education, medical, retail and residential. My mentorship has given me a broad perspective on people, philosophy, problem-solving, and social issues.
3.
I relocated to Cape Town to be a brand identity designer for a design studio that branched out from the clothing brand. Here, I've been fortunate enough to work with a diverse range of creatives within the wellness, lifestyle and entrepreneur space.
4.
While working in Cape Town, I provided consultation services for the architectural firm and attained my Professional Registration with SACAP. I currently work at SAOTA's Resource Centre.
